Abstract:The DSPPA phased array sound system at Meragang Mosque delivers highly directional audio for clear sermons and prayers, minimizing reverberation and enhancing the worship experience.


Facing the unique acoustic environment of Meragang Mosque, DSPPA’s phased array sound system was implemented with the support of its agent, Comtech Trading Co., to deliver focused sound coverage and enhanced clarity.



Project Overview


Meragang Mosque, officially named Masjid Az-Zakireen Meragang, is a newly built mosque in Kampung Meragang under Brunei’s National Housing Scheme, designed to accommodate over 2,200 worshippers with prayer halls, female areas, classrooms, and supporting facilities.



Given the mosque’s spacious and acoustically reflective interior, a sound reinforcement system with precise coverage and high speech intelligibility was essential to support sermons and daily prayers.



Project Features


Addressing the specific acoustic challenges of Meragang Mosque, a customized sound reinforcement solution—developed with the support of Comtech Trading Co.— was designed using phased array directional column speakers combined with professional audio processing equipment.

The DSP1500seriesphased array column speaker offers precise three-directional beam adjustment, equipped with eight 4-inch drivers powered by an 8-channel amplifier for stable and high-quality sound. 



Its ability to deliver clear, focused audio coverage makes it especially well-suited for worship environments like Meragang Mosque, ensuring sermons and prayers are intelligible throughout the prayer hall.


D58 Series  UHF Wireless Microphone System


Equipped with advanced dual-channel PLL and UHF200 digital locking, the D58 Series wireless microphone system ensures crystal-clear audio and consistent signal integrity, providing dependable performance for important occasions in the mosque.



D6648  4-In 8-Out Professional Audio Processor


Featuring 4-In 8-Out analog channels with a high-quality 21-level preamplifier circuit and a DSP processing bus structure, the D6648 delivers clear high-fidelity sound with intuitive controls ideal for various venues.



DSP255II DSP455II 30W/60W Waterproof Column Speaker


The 30W/60W waterproof column speaker, constructed from aluminum alloy with a UV-resistant coating, delivers durable, professional-grade sound quality suitable for both indoor prayer halls and outdoor areas.
