DSPPA | Premium Hotel Audio Experience at Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet, UAE

Overview Key Highlights Related Product List More Case Studies

Abstract: In collaboration with local partner Zenith, DSPPA supplied a MAG808-based multi-zone hotel audio system for Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet Hotel in the UAE. Designed for background music and clear paging across indoor and outdoor areas, the solution helps create a welcoming audio atmosphere throughout the resort.

Set high on Jebel Hafeet mountain in Al Ain, the Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet Hotel offers guests a distinctive resort experience surrounded by panoramic views. To complement the atmosphere across its guest and leisure areas, DSPPA worked with local partner Zenith to provide a multi-zone hotel sound system for background music and paging. The solution supports different audio needs throughout the property, helping each space maintain an atmosphere suited to its purpose.

Project Overview

Located on Jebel Hafeet mountain in Al Ain, the Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet Hotel combines a distinctive mountain setting with a range of guest, dining, and leisure spaces. Its audio requirements extend across the hotel lobby, guest room corridors, dining area, outdoor garden, and leisure terrace. Each area serves a different purpose, making flexible audio distribution important for maintaining a consistent yet appropriately tailored atmosphere throughout the property.

The hotel required a flexible background music system that could accommodate different areas without treating the entire property as one audio zone. Music distribution needed to be managed by zone, while paging had to remain clear and appropriately directed across indoor and outdoor spaces. This combination of flexible music control and practical announcement capability helps the hotel create a more comfortable environment for guests while supporting day-to-day operations.

To meet these requirements, the project uses the MAG808 audio matrix as the central audio controller, together with indoor ceiling speakers and outdoor rock-shaped landscape speakers. This combination supports distributed sound coverage across the resort, with audio zones suited to the property's different functional areas. The indoor speakers provide a discreet fit for interior spaces, while the rock-shaped landscape speakers are designed to blend more naturally into outdoor surroundings.

Multi-Zone Audio for a Refined Hotel Atmosphere

At the heart of the solution, the MAG808 enables audio to be distributed across multiple hotel zones, allowing background music and paging to be managed according to the needs of different areas. From welcoming guests in the lobby to supporting the ambience of dining and outdoor leisure spaces, the system provides a flexible audio foundation for the resort. By combining zone-based distribution with announcement capability, it helps balance the atmosphere guests expect with the practical communication needs of hotel staff.

MAG808 8×8 Digital Audio Matrix System for Multi-Zone Hotel Sound

The DSPPA MAG808 8×8 digital audio matrix serves as the central controller of the hotel's multi-zone audio system. With eight inputs and eight outputs, it supports flexible routing of audio signals to different zones, while individual output-level adjustment helps accommodate the needs of each area. For a resort with both indoor and outdoor spaces, this centralized approach makes background music distribution and paging easier to organize and manage.

Digital Power Amplifiers for Distributed Hotel Audio

The digital power amplifiers provide the drive needed for the distributed loudspeaker system, supporting audio playback through the indoor ceiling speakers and outdoor rock-shaped landscape speakers. Working alongside the MAG808 matrix, the amplifiers form part of the overall signal and amplification chain that brings background music and paging to the hotel's different areas. The final listening experience depends on the complete system design, including speaker selection, room acoustics, amplifier matching, and installation.

MAG2107C Multi-Source Audio Player for Hotel Background Music

The DSPPA MAG2107C multi-source audio player provides several playback options in one unit, including CD, USB, SD card, FM radio, and Bluetooth. Its multiple source options offer flexibility when selecting music for everyday hotel operations. Integrated into the wider audio system, the player serves as a practical source component for background music distribution across the property.

Hotel Audio System Configuration

The system combines a central digital audio matrix, power amplification, audio source equipment, and distributed loudspeakers to support background music and paging throughout the hotel. Indoor ceiling speakers and outdoor rock-shaped landscape speakers serve different acoustic and architectural environments, while the matrix-based design supports organized audio distribution across the property's functional zones.

From the hotel lobby and dining areas to the garden and leisure terrace, the DSPPA hospitality audio solutions supports flexible background music distribution and paging across a range of guest environments. By combining the MAG808 digital audio matrix with distributed indoor and outdoor loudspeakers, the system helps the resort maintain an appropriate audio atmosphere in different spaces while supporting everyday hotel communication needs. For hospitality projects seeking a flexible multi-zone hotel sound system, DSPPA offers audio solutions designed around the requirements of each space.

What type of sound system is suitable for a luxury hotel?
A suitable hotel sound system should be designed around the acoustic characteristics and usage of each space, with appropriate loudspeakers, audio processing, zone management and system tuning for comfortable background music and clear announcements.
How can a hotel manage background music in different areas?
A multi-zone audio system allows audio sources and output levels to be managed for designated areas, helping hotels tailor the listening environment in lobbies, restaurants, corridors and outdoor leisure spaces.
What does a digital audio matrix do in a hotel sound system?
A digital audio matrix routes audio sources to designated outputs and supports independent zone adjustment. In the DSPPA MAG808, eight independent zone outputs provide flexible routing and individual level and equalization settings.
